Hooray! The day finally came when we were able to get a place of our own. We were getting really frustrated with the whole process because we couldn't find a place that we both felt was "just right". It seemed that every place we looked at had a serious flaw that we were just not able to ignore: too expensive, scary neighborhood, too small.
Then we found "
the one". It is kind of amazing how when you are patient the right thing just seems to fall into your lap, even if it takes a little longer than you'd like. We called the rental company and left a message that we would like to see it on the 4th and we went and saw it first thing on the 5th. There were about eight people that were going to look at it that day, so we hurried and got our application in.They called us the 6th and said that we had been approved and we the first ones to apply, so the place was ours if we wanted it. I gave them our deposit that day and we signed the lease on the 8th and moved our stuff in that day. It was incredible how fast it all happened and I am so thankful that we were ready to jump on it when the time was right.
I love our new house and it is just what we were looking for! It has taken some time to get unpacked because we are both working a lot and there is only so much I can do because of my big belly, but we are starting to feel settled. Now comes the fun part: decorating!
